About Me

Julia Peterson was born and raised in Ghana, West Africa, for 15 years before moving to the United States and residing in Massachusetts. Adopted at a young age by missionaries, she has always known the goodness of others. As a young kid, she has always had a passion for writing about music, poems, short stories, and journaling. She attended Holyoke Community College for her Associate in Liberal Arts and a Bachelor in Communications and Public Relations at Southern New Hampshire University. Since finishing school, she has worked in various mediums, from editorial to digital, audio podcasts, public relations, and events. She currently works as a freelance writer for the Hollywood Times, Exhibit A, MXDWN, and freelance for other companies. She is also doing PR for Fashion Week Brooklyn, a non-profit organization run by the BK Style Foundation. She worked as a contract syndication writer for Blavity Inc. She is looking to continue working within the entertainment industry as she continues with her career as a writer and public relations specialist. Also, she has been screenwriting and is currently working on her first-ever comedy feature. She's always looking to collaborate to captivate audiences and make magic happen through the power of storytelling. In her free time, you can catch her binge-watching her favorite TV shows/ movies, painting, cooking, and trying to learn how to crochet. Yes, she's on Twitter tweeting a storm, but that’s how she keeps her ears and eyes on what’s happening. Connect with her on LinkedIn or Instagram, and let’s get to the bag together.

“Sometimes it is the people no one imagines anything of who do the things that no one can imagine.”
